- To assist with tasks associated with the full range of employee life cycle processes covering recruitment, contracts, payroll, sickness absence, employee relations and other HR matters.
- To input, maintain and ensure the security of data on the HR Information System (iTrent)
- To provide first line advice and support to applicants, employees and managers, where appropriate, on HR queries and enquiries
- Administration of recruitment processes including reviewing job profiles and adverts, advertising jobs, managing applications, arranging interviews and assessment centres and all associated correspondence with applicants and managers
- To produce job offers and contracts of employment and to ensure appropriate pre-employment checks are completed for new starters including compliance for right to work checks
- To input the day to day recording of sickness absence on iTrent
- To respond to annual leave queries and related administration on iTrent
- To effectively manage the group email inboxes
- To coordinate timely filing of all documents on the IDOX electronic document imaging system
- To contribute towards HR initiatives/projects detailed within the Workforce Development Plan/People Plan to support the Council’s priorities
- To support the HR Team in the management of content of the HR internet and intranet pages
- To manage raising purchase orders, ordering goods and processing invoices
- You will have previous HR admin experience, strong IT skills and be an excellent communication
- You need to be organised, able to manage your own workload and be proactive in your approach, as you will be working independently, supported by the team
- You must be able to maintain confidentiality as you will have access to sensitive personal information
- You need to have excellent attention to detail and be able to meet deadlines, re-prioritising your work as other duties arise
