Job Description

We are looking to hire a Financial Reporting Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be managing a team of two, and will take ownership of all corporate finance policies, international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and the internal controls framework. You will work closely with the wider finance team to ensure overall control and governance from a technical accounting perspective.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the group internal control framework, liaising with various key stakeholders and control owners within the business.
• Monitor systems and processes relating to controls and governance, identify any potential areas of weakness or improvement and action accordingly.
• Prepare annual Financial Statements, including liaising with the UK tax team to assist with the Corporation Tax return.
• Assist external auditors in quarterly reviews, interim, and annual statutory audits.
• Ensure integrity of the Balance Sheet through management and monitoring of reconciliations, both locally and through international shared services.
• Support Head of Governance by actively participating in monthly reconciliation reviews.
• Supervise and coach the Reconciliation Controllers to ensure reconciliations are performed in a timely manner and are of a high quality.
• Manage the implementation of any new accounting or regulatory standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Qualified/Chartered Accountant (ACA , CA , ACCA ) with 3 years (or more) post qualification experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP is essential.
• People management or mentoring experience would be highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working within a governance and controls position would be preferred.
• Prior experience within a large, fast paced organization is vital.
