About The Role

We’re recruiting a Senior Accountant, Product and Treasury - a new and exciting role within our Finance Performance and Planning team. You’ll be joining a growing team at the Society, and will have the opportunity to take a lead role in driving commercial value at a critical time, both internally and externally.

You’ll be a commercially focused analyst responsible for the production and delivery of Product and Treasury inputs to the Monthly Board Report and broader management reporting framework.

You’ll lead the development of portfolio income, expenses and balance sheet analysis including detailed margin modelling and analysis, for use at Management Committees, Executive and Board level.

You’ll prepare sensitivity analysis on the portfolio, building early warning trackers of key driver performance, identifying emerging risks and opportunities.

You’ll contribute timely and relevant actionable insight to on-going and new Product campaigns and portfolio strategy discussions, incorporating external data and insight into your analysis.

Assisting in the provision of insightful analysis in support of product pricing decisions including the use of Funds Transfer Pricing and Return on Capital analysis, you’ll participate in business meetings to share recommendations and ideas for portfolio development and revenue generation.

You’ll provide treasury commercial deal support as required, engaging with stakeholders to identify and correct inconsistencies in reporting of “Actual” performance, creating one version of the truth.

You’ll be used to preparing detailed technical analysis and communicating the results to stakeholders in a simple and straight forward way. You’ll have advanced excel skills and enjoy working with others to solve complex technical challenges.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or working towards your qualification and you’ll have gained experience of Income and portfolio analysis, preferably within Financial Services. You’ll be curious and want to understand how your role and activity fits and adds value in the context of Finance and the wider Society as a whole.  You’ll continually look for opportunities to develop both yourself and your team and look to step outside of the confines of your role in the support of colleagues and the Society.  You’ll engage honestly and constructively with your colleagues across the business to deliver great outcomes and ultimately cultivate an environment of collaboration, innovation and idea sharing.  You’ll demonstrate a responsible and caring attitude by getting things done, getting things right and achieving this in the right way.
