Job Description
To manage the administrative procedures within the home as directed by the Home Manager and to provide reception cover, promoting the Home and company to potential customers, appropriate authorities, and colleagues in a pleasant, caring and professional manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a real team environment and be able to multi-task
- To receive and re-direct incoming telephone calls
- Assist with the recruitment of new members of staff by the organization of staff vacancy adverts in conjunction with the Home Manager and Head Office
- Recording and producing minutes of management, departmental and staff meetings as required
- To welcome and receive all visitors to the Home, ensuring that the appropriate register is correctly completed and the relevant resident and/or staff member notified. To organize refreshments as appropriate.
- Organize out-patient appointments at the hospital or other healthcare venues such as opticians, the transport and escort for the journey, informing the residents' family/representatives and ensuring such appointments are accurately noted in the appropriate diaries in the Home.
- Maintain an accurate record of the Staff fund as instructed by the Home Manager

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous administration experience: Computer literate (Word for Windows, Excel, E-mail, Internet etc)
