Job Description
This is an opportunity to work in a quickly growing client service team, where we work with complex, captivating and stimulating fast-growth technology clients. This would ideally suit a qualified accountant with financial controller / industry experience, looking for the next step in their career and increased responsibility. This is a very client-centric role and you will be responsible for liaising with C-suite individuals to ensure that they are supported week to week on their finance needs, providing effective insight to company management and partnering with ihorizon's compliance and tax advisory team when needed to deliver solutions to our clients.
Your typical day to day activities will also include;
- Structure and lead a work flow that services our clients with Financial Controller support on a week to week basis;
- Provide modelling and forecasting support and keep this update for commercial developments and actual monthly results;
- Support on investor/board reporting as required;
- Implement controls and process improvements for clients;
- Provide day to day operation and commercial advice and insight;
- Partner with the wider ihorizon team to provide support on tax advisory areas, R&D and compliance matters;
- Review lead schedules prepared by the management accounts teams and provide insight and communicate these to our clients;
- Support on funding events and help with the modelling of this and the due diligence needs that will arise;
- Review and carry out reconciliation checks on items such as: Equity Investment; Payment Portals, Share Options, Fixed Assets, Payroll and VAT returns;
- Preparing Statutory Accounts and file these with Companies House;
- Preparing Corporation Tax Computations and File Tax Returns Follow up with Companies house and HMRC where required;
- Effectively handling ad-hoc client queries on compliance;
- Working independently within a team whilst providing mentoring of junior members within the team.

This is a hybrid remote role so you may be required to have 1-3 days in the office a week. Also, we are open to discussing a fully remote arrangement as well.
