Job Description

The role is a part time hybrid based (working 3 days a week) and the client is very flexible on days worked and were you work (home or office). Your role will be to oversee and manage internal financial and project administration processes and to ensuring the client delivers productions successfully, in line with their internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project financial set up to allow tracking and control.
  • Working together with the Manager of the contract to prepare the project budget and make clear the financial performance of the contract compared to the budget and the forecast, updating when new information is received.
  • Over sighting project financial tracking ('actuals’) for accuracy and consistency (reviewing and supporting project cash flows as owned by Producers), communicating any variances and proposing corrective actions to help achieve the Budget.
  • Finalize project revenue and billing, manage and process invoices receivable in accordance with agreed client payment schedules.
  • Handle invoices payable from end-to-end, through approval process and ensuring correct project tracking is applied.
  • Managing weekly pay runs of bills.
  • Conduct P/L monitoring and drive WIP project tracking in both P&L and Balance sheet.
  • Assist the accounts team with expense reconciliation for accurate project tracking.
  • Produce monthly financial reports, participate in and provide input as required at management account meetings.
  • Ensure suppliers’ compliance with company financial and legal policies at procurement stage.
  • Provide contract administration support to project Producers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ideally you will be a fully qualified accountant or equivalent (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years previous Project Finance Controller experienced gained within a similar production / live events industry with proven knowledge and understanding of project control practices.

Previous experience with Xero or other cloud accounting software is highly beneficial.
