Job Description

Responsible for ensuring the organization runs at maximum financial efficiency, you would work closely with the management team and Board of directors. The two key parts of this role are people and process. The film industry is built on relationships, and an ability to build strong internal and external relationships is a pre-requisite for success. The second component built on the first would be process delivery, ensuring the finance function supports the smooth running and growth of the organization.

• The finance function is a key partner to the MD and senior management team.
• Costs and financial efficiencies are an integral part of monthly best practice.
• Management accounts, budgets and VAT returns are delivered on schedule.
• Reports are integrated with full and balanced commentary and analysis of financial data including variance analysis.
• Key business KPI’s are developed, produced and reported upon monthly.
• Compliance is met with all statutory filing requirements.
• Internal and external resources supporting the finance function are well managed.
• Asset management and lease monitoring are reviewed as part of monthly operations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Creative, personable, forward thinking qualified accountant with relevant industry experience. Key to this role would be demonstrable commercial acumen. A proven track record of working as member of the senior management team within a growing SME (3-15million). Experience of lease negotiation and acquisitions & mergers would be highly advantageous. Although industry experience in TV and Film is not required a passion for the area would be preferred.

Given the current position and plans of the organization, this role could either suit an ambitious finance manager looking to make move to FD/Financial Controller over the next 3-5 years or a more experienced candidate who enjoys the growth phase.
