Job Description

You will use their expertise in accounting and leadership to become a trusted financial advisor to clients, manage exceptional service delivery, and lead a team of accounting professionals. You will work with clients and internal team members to set-up and scale client accounting and deliver exceptional financial reporting. This person is able to successfully manage priorities across a portfolio of demanding clients and lead internal Accounting Team members. The Accounting Manager possesses excellent communication skills, a successful accounting career, and a disciplined approach to accounting and staff management. They believe that each client’s financial statements are a reflection of their expertise, and they don’t shy away from the ever-changing, demanding, emerging-growth business environment that is Fintech. This is a full-time, contractor position.

Responsibilities

• Manages an international team of accounting professionals
• Designs and develops policy updates and process improvements when necessary to support US GAAP accounting
• Leads hands-on review of client financial statements
• Manages client A/P, payroll, and receivable processes
• Partners cross-functionally across client organizations to complete client growth projects
• Supports ad hoc projects and accounting processes to ensure client growth

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Active CPA license
• Big 4 audit or comparable consulting experience
• 10-15 years of accounting experience
• Industry experience with early- to growth-stage companies
• Leadership experience; experience in managing staff accounting positions
• Commitment to excellence and high standards of accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
