Assist the Managing Director with the development of business strategies in order to execute the vision of the company to become more streamlined and competitive
Understand and execute the departments vision of good business development in order to reduce costs and become more profitable
Maintain an understanding of all current political, economic, environmental, and financial matters within the industry in order to remain the industry leader
People management
Attend all business meetings and evaluate business decisions in line with the Managing Directors vision
Ensure customers’ expectations are met and good relationships are built with customers to create a satisfied customer base that promotes the company brand
Coordinate and monitor logistics operations across all departments
Create SOP’s and processes for all logistics clients and ensure they are managed and followed up in accordance with organisational policy
Oversee the management of the WMS system and its integration with new prospects
Oversee all buying and sales activities/strategies for Logistics ensuring sales teams are competent and knowledgeable on service delivery to promote realistic contracts
Understand and responsible for setting rate structure and guidelines in line with customer requirements and take part in logistics tenders
Oversee all Logistics strategies within Nationwide Logistics Centres
Provide budget formulation and information to the Senior Management Team on a regular basis
Ensure all sales negotiations, quotations and service delivery are completed in line with international trade regulations and good practice guides
