Job Description

We are looking for an International Accounting Manager to join our amazing Controllership team and help us to continue improving our processes and have accurate data on the ERP. This role's mission will be:

  • You will be the owner of 2 operating entities located in the volumes are growing exponentially month over month. Therefore, you will be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all transactions posted.
  • You will need to collaborate with the different departments across the company to ensure operating expenses are accounted for and reconciled in a timely manner, in accordance with local accounting standards and follow the right workflow.
  • The main objective of Finance is to pass the audit with an unqualified opinion. You will lead the external audit of your entities ensuring this happens year over year.
  • Perform a magnitude of different tasks for month-end and year-end closing;
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and subsequent analytical reviews of any discrepancies;
  • Perform bank reconciliations processing of payments;
  • Manage and review intercompany journal entries and their reconciliations;
  • Supporting the business growth in an organized and controlled way;
  • Book payroll journal entries and reconciliations;
  • Prepare and review the different tax forms required for your entities which will be submitted by third parties;
  • Be in charge of the audit of your subsidiaries being the main point of contact for external auditors;
  • Participating in generic finance projects (i.e. ERP) and other ad hoc specific projects;
  • Supervising and managing a small team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA);
  • Experience in team management;
  • Proven track record of working w/ multi-entity and global organizations;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and fluent in English;
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines;
  • Analytical thinker and detailed oriented;
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills;
  • Entrepreneurial attitude – we own our processes and be proactive and accountable as we look to find solutions, not problems. Be proud of what you produce and achieve;
  • Sense of initiative, with a winning mentality;
  • An innovative and enthusiastic individual looking to make an impact;
  • +2 years in similar positions at travel companies;
  • Experience in setting up financial controls;
  • Knowledge of US GAAP;
  • NetSuite experience.
