Job Description

They are looking for a forward thinking, innovative Financial Controller/Head of Finance, that has the business acumen and innovative approach to support and grow with this property business that are looking to go through a major strategic and growth plan. As the number one in finance this role offers a great opportunity for someone to work as a business partner to the Chief Executive Officer.

Your daily duties will include:

• Critically review all current needs and opportunities within the business, design solutions to current challenges and to unlock untapped potential
• Business partner and support the CEO and Senior Management Team, this will include providing performance analysis, commercial insight, board pack preparation, review of incentive plans, business cases on major investment decisions
• Encourage and support innovation, working with the Senior Management Team to explore and review the business plan, ensuring they are financially feasible
• Review and potentially upgrade the current finance systems and processes
• Manage and develop the team, encouraging innovation into working process and procedures
• Manage compliance and ensure that all required regulations are adhered to across finance and the wider business

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will be an ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant with a minimum of 3-4 years post qualified experience in a financial control and leadership role; looking for the next career step that will offer growth, innovation opportunities. You must have the ability to understand and deliver insightful reports and commentary whilst possessing the confidence and ability to support the commercial activities and strategic investment decisions.

It is essential that you can show that you have strong commercial business acumen and possess the confidence to support the leadership team implementing the business plans and strategy. You must of a track record of improving processes and procedures and developed the performance and capabilities of the finance systems.
