Job Description
You will support school-based administration activities and undertake a range of general administrative duties relating specifically to the work of the School. A list of some of these duties is below, but a more comprehensive list can be found in the job description.
- To provide support for the Readiness Group which will include minute taking, word processing, report compilation, spreadsheet and database work of a high standard and technical nature, including the production of general correspondence sometimes of a highly confidential nature.
- To provide support for the Integrity and Misconduct Group, which will include word processing, report compilation, spreadsheet and database work of a high standard and technical nature, including the production of general correspondence sometimes of a highly confidential nature.
- To provide an excellent standard of customer service, dealing effectively with all customer enquiries and information requests through multiple contact methods.
- Contact methods will include face-to-face, telephone, IT systems (e.g. SMS, Web) and other formats as appropriate.
- To have an understanding of the University’s Policies and Regulations relevant to the area of work.
- To have a good working knowledge relating to the administration of the School, ensuring that effective administrative procedures are practiced and maintained.
- To provide administrative support to all areas of School activity as required. This will include the preparation of relevant documentation and statistics as required.
- To take written records of proceedings and actions in both formal and informal meetings.
- To maintain effective filing and system-based archiving with regard to quality audits and data requirements.
- To advise School colleagues regarding policies and procedures as appropriate.
- To ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, health and safety, data protection, copyright and licensing, security, financial and other University procedures and codes of conduct, where appropriate.
- To acquire a good working knowledge of those parts of the University’s Management Information Systems and other support systems and equipment that are appropriate to the area of work.
