ROLE
- Process purchase orders with suppliers and ensure stock levels are up to date and meet the production needs
- Maintain records of purchases and pricing
- Keep a good and professional connection with suppliers
- Report to the Purchasing Manager
- Liaise with suppliers and raise purchase orders in an organized and timely manner
- Ensure stocks of materials are kept up to date and meet the production needs
- Stock count all goods within the factory and warehouse monthly and when needed, and keep a record of usage
- Keep a record of pricing and contracts with suppliers and challenge any price increase
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock
- Conduct a regular market research to guarantee the best possible prices
- Compare items received against items ordered and communicate any out of specification order to the suppliers
- Maintain records of prices, purchases and other relevant information
- Hand delivery notes (after verified) to the Accounts Assistant so purchase invoices can be entered in the accounting system
- Track deliveries and address any delays
- Evaluate suppliers offers and negotiate profitable deals
Working Hours Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
There is occasional Saturday work in which case a lieu day is then arranged
The role is 5 days a week on site, there's no scope to work from home

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience in a stock control or purchasing role is preferred. You need to have strong knowledge of Excel to input data and create tables, formulas, link cells and sheets, etc. It's a mixed role between warehouse/office (roughly half of time in the warehouse doing physical stock counts and half of time in the office).
