Job Description
- Financial modelling
- Accounting Advisory (new complex accounting standards, application of GAAP and conversions)
- Deal support (pre and post deals)
- Financial modelling – construction of excel based models and tools for client’s analysis and reporting processes
- Implementing accounting standards and GAAP conversions
- Supporting clients on accounting remediation projects
- Developing accounting policies, procedures and controls
- Deal accounting support including historic financial information reporting, working capital modelling and proforma reporting and post deal support in embedding new entities and changes
- Supporting the firm’s significant growth objectives by helping to deliver client engagements, build relationships with new and potential clients, supporting new market initiatives, propositions and offerings and being part of the team taking these out to clients
- Ability to project manage engagements to meet deadlines and budgets
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Qualified accountant with technical accounting experience (UK and IFRS GAAP)
- Deep financial modelling expertise
- Minimum of 2 years post qualified experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm
- Working and practical knowledge of applying UK GAAP and IFRSs
- Previous experience as a manager providing clients a range of accounting advisory, modelling and consulting services
- Experience of business development and developing client relationships and networks
- Experience of reviewing statutory accounts and/ or managing audit services to large businesses
- Chartered Financial Modeler (CFM) or CFA modeler
- ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent overseas qualification (with a strong technical and practical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP reporting standards)
- Experience of working on IFRS 9, 15 and 16 accounting advisory projects
