Job Description

Finance Controller

§ Keep accurate records of the financial accounts

§ Create reports for Accountant / Director as required.

§ Create invoices

§ Managing profit and loss statements / balance sheets and Forecasts.

§ Payroll administration monthly and all reporting.

§ Paying regular bills for the company

§ Overseeing departmental budgets within the company monthly.

§ Filing historical records and retrieving necessary documents as needed for other

§ Updating insurances and warranties of goods.

§ Recording cash receipts and handling bank deposits

§ Maintaining petty cash

§ Preparing information for auditors

§ Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management

§ Ensure accounts are paid and up to date/ credit control

§ Ensure the Company’s Equal Opportunities Policy is adhered to all times.

Other administration:

  • Answer the telephone and ensure that messages are promptly delivered and correct communication with parents.

§ Process incoming and outgoing mail

§ Be fully conversant with the use of the Club System in order to:

-Maintain accurate records of all children and bookings and waiting lists.

-produce and process invoices.

-Arrange for the collection of fees, bank fees, and manage debtors.

§ Deal with child place enquiries and advise on the allocation of places.

§ Record progress of enquiries

§ Perform general office duties including:

-Undertaking general typing duties.

-Photocopying and filing as required.

§ Inform staff of last-minute changes to bookings.

§ Providing administrative and clerical support as needed


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Pleasant telephone manner and good command of English Friendly, outgoing personality Experience of Xero payroll Experience of credit control Computer literate ability to use excel formula Ability to use initiative and be analytical Excellent numeracy Ability to follow instructions and systems accurately Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team whilst prioritising workload and meeting deadline Knowledge and understanding of Equal Opportunities . This is an immediate star role and you will be required to hit the ground running.
