Drive high quality financial / commercial performance through understanding the contractual commitments on service lines and ensure alignment with corporate policies
Ensure Account Finance Leads take responsibility for Balance Sheet governance and reconciliations together with full compliance with SOX control requirements
Build and develop high level relationships with all stakeholders including regional & account finance teams
Liaising with all relevant Global and Regional Finance stakeholders particularly the Area Finance Director, the Account Finance Directors and their teams, the GBS & FPA team and Transition team.
Identify, analyze, and resolve potential business risks, as well as opportunities and solutions to enhance business performance
Implement improvements, drive change, raise standards through the direct and indirect management of staff
Stand in on accounts in absence of finance leads
Provide strategic ad-hoc support, influence and manage any financial analysis as required
Ad-hoc reporting as requested by Divisional Finance Director or Business Unit Director
Learn the steps required to set up Finance & Accounting systems and processes for a new contract, across multiple regions and various systems.
Collaborate with other lines of business (Sourcing, Operations, IT) on establishing optimal financial and operations processes. Identify and resolve potential business risks as they arise.
Constantly seek to improve quality, service, and efficiency in Transitions, including the sharing of best practices and lessons learned with the broader team.
Participates in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the area & sector finance director.
Manage the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial systems, identify opportunities to enhance system efficiencies
Support systems development to maximize efficiency benefits for the Client & GWS
Have thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and manage compliance of them
Manage compliance through the required procedures and processes.
Work with management across the finance teams to agree remediation’s for control deficiencies identified, and assist Control Owners and Process Owners to get them actioned in a timely manner.
Provide written/verbal reporting to the finance teams on risk management, controls, assurance and governance.
Support the wider central finance team and client teams by recommending process improvements which maintain or improve financial control but increase efficiency within the team
The role does not currently have direct reports but may be asked to manage and oversee the work of other team members. Direct reports may be added in the future

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Hold a Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent)
Highly computer literate
Ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on, pragmatic delivery
IT Skills to lead, process and reporting developments to achieve key tasks, and to give the business a sound reporting base Superior written and verbal communication skills with strong oral presentation skills
Capable of working in a matrix environment
Understands the requirements of operating in a cross border multiservice line environment
Worked in a complex multinational with hands on experience of managing geographically diverse teams
Track record of achieving results through others
Proven commercial acumen and ability to contribute to decision-making
Management skills to maximize the performance of staff
The individual must be willing to undertake travel as the role/business requires
