Job Description

Your primary role will be the continued development of our global ecommerce websites in response to customer feedback and requirements from other internal departments and stakeholders.

Along with this, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of the in-house warehouse management system which consists of an android app built using Kotlin, and a server component written in PHP.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong working knowledge of PHP (v5.6 to 7), both procedural and OO and an understanding of MVC frameworks
• MySQL - Must be comfortable working with large datasets and doing statistical analysis of large query results
• HTML / CSS / JavaScript
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Redis and Memcache
• Version control (git)
• Experience in the use of external API’s to send/receive data (mostly json and xml
• Linux system maintenance (mostly debian/ubuntu) and virtualisation (proxmox)
• Write clean, reusable, scalable and efficient code to power a number of global ecommerce websites and a large scale internal warehouse management system
• Have the ability to quickly identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs

Knowledge of the following would be useful but not required

• Symfony PHP framework
• Android app development with Android Studio and Kotlin
• Bootstrap, jQuery, vuejs, ES6
• Responsive design
• Ability to debug and deploy changes to existing applications in other languages such as C#, Java, Python, Golang etc..
• Understanding of external marketplace apis such as eBay and Amazon, and processing payments through PayPal, Klarna, Worldline, Amazon payments etc..
