Job Description

We are delighted to be supporting our client, a long establish and highly respectable firm of accountants based in the heart of Rickmansworth who are eager to appoint a skilled individual to complement their existing accounts and audit team.

• Preparation of statutory accounts from source records and preparation of supporting reconciliations.
• Preparation of Corporation Tax computations to accompany accounts.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Carrying out bookkeeping and preparation of management accounts.
• Carrying out and assisting on statutory audits.
• Assisting with company secretarial work such as company Confirmation Statements.
• Experience in software packages such as Xero, Sage 50, QuickBooks, Accounts Production (or equivalent) is essential.
• You will be working closely with managers and partners on these tasks.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• At least 18+ months experience working for a small to medium sized UK based practice with exposure to a wide range of duties ideally to include audit although this is not essential just the appetite to undertake this aspect is!
• Ideally AAT qualified and/or ACA/ACCA studying (ACA study will be offered as part of the package)
• Proficient in a range of accounting software and ideally CCH
