Job Description

The Finance Team is a small team supporting the charity and delivering all the main strands of a finance function: finance processes, financial control, management information and accounting, finance business partnering and decision support, project support.
What the position will involve?

• You will provide leadership in setting up FBP capability, including support and guidance to Finance Team and all other staff in DofE.
• Working with the senior leadership team of the charity you will ensure management information meets business needs to drive good decision making.
• You will identify management information and decision support gaps and provide pragmatic and timely solutions.
• For projects, you will provide finance subject matter expertise and input, to lead on or be the finance SPOC.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• You’ll have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders across the organization and explain financial concepts and processes to non-finance people.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to empower, support and manage a small team, priorities workloads and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to explain difficult concepts, summaries complicated analysis and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
