Job Description

This is a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract. You'll have the following responsibilities

• Finance Business Partner to Home Commercial teams reactively supporting and pro-actively driving: 
• Short term trading performance including new proposition approval, detailed performance analysis, performance improvement plans and risk mitigation plans
• Medium and long term customer trading strategy including opportunity analysis, channel strategy, x-brand and x-product optimization 
• All activity forecasting including in quarter outlooks, new quarterly plans, monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgeting
• Role to support across Home products, Voice, TV/Sport 
• Develop new activity evaluation models to significantly improve and standardize decision making across the product set
• Work with Commercial FP&A team ensuring all historic performance and forward looking forecasts are sufficiently communicated and understood

Note this is a job-share opportunity, with likely working days to be Wednesday - Friday.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Advanced financial modelling (excel) skills - ability to build/manipulate detailed models to arrive at appropriate outputs/metrics to support decision making 
• Able to identify issues, get to root causes through the use of financial analysis and insight to diagnose and solve problems
• Able to deal with ambiguity, identify resources to implement and determine pragmatic solutions 
• Communication skills - translating complex financial outcomes to senior financial and non-financial stakeholders through both oral and written communication.
• Ability to tailor message to the relevant audience, distilling key messages without losing the appropriate level of detail
• Demonstrable professionalism with a proven ability to operate in a complex, fast paced matrixed business environment 
• Bias towards bold and confident thinking, challenging the status quo where appropriate
• Patience and experience of navigating large, complex organizational structures 
• Qualified accountant e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA
• Extensive experience of finance business partnering commercial functions 
• Demonstrate experience in business case creation and evaluation
• Demonstrate experience of detailed analysis of large data sets
