Job Description

This role will be responsible for supporting the robust accounting and financial information within the Business Unit and to the Group Reporting team

  • Periodic Management Reporting, ensuring timely and accurate month end close
  • Reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance insight generation
  • Providing team support and cover where needed
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement to encourage greater efficiency and control.
  • Periodic management reporting:
  • Support preparation of monthly and quarterly outlook and R&O process for P&L and Cash flow
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Liaising with external auditors to provide information required for statutory audits
  • Support internal audit queries
  • Maintenance of general ledger records to a high standard including journals & balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Play an active role in embedding key Britvic financial control principles, policies and governance into company at the appropriate level for a small, entrepreneurial business
  • Guide continuous improvement activities in our reporting and planning processes
  • Support team action plan for Great Place to Work to continuously improve the team working environment
  • Support personal & professional development of the Finance Assistant
  • Cover and support for the Head of Finance as required
  • Support the management of cash within company, with particular focus on receivables, working capital and stock
  • Support investment cases and business models for BTB (Beyond the Bottle)
  • Support business integration plan

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified accountant with experience in Xero accounting system
    Understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Desire and mindset to work in a small, start-up environment which will involve a significant amount of hands on work
  • Good attention to detail
  • A proactive individual who will take initiative and raise questions when faced with uncertainty
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver quality output in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Managing stakeholder expectations around key deliverables
  • Ability to drive change rather than managing the status quo
  • Excellent stakeholder management & influencing skills
