Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Head of Finance into this senior finance position who has a strong record of delivering client accounting and service charge finances to the residential property industry. They will oversee a team of Finance Support Analysts who provide support to our property managers.
Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing positive and proactive team management, developing Finance Support Analysts’ skills and knowledge to deliver a best in class property finance service.
  • Monitor the performance of the team and ensure that all service level agreements, KPI’s and compliance is adhered to.
  • Take the lead on the delivery of excellent customer service by providing a positive influence and ensure the companies values and vision are promoted.
  • Ensure the team delivers concise and complete information to their audience both internally and externally.
  • Lead on complex financial issues and queries and ensure that at all times we work to the lease, management terms and both legislative requirements and industry best practice guidelines.
  • Attend client meetings to provide/discuss financial reporting, service charge accounts, void contributions etc.
  • Provide robust oversight and contribute expertise on key client service charge accounts

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Minimum of 24 months people management experience having touched on all aspects of the recruitment/performance appraisal process.
  • Minimum of 24 months in a senior finance position within the residential real estate sector.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of service charge finances in residential block management.
  • Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
  • Advantageous to be qualified to in IRPM.
  • Advantageous to be ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Demonstrable experience in managing financial teams within the block management sector.
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills with demonstrable experience in developing, coaching and improving team delivery.
  • Confident decision maker with the ability to make both independently and collaborative decisions after reviewing all relevant information
  • Strong and polite communicator who can clearly and concisely convey ideas and information both to internal teams and to client and customers
  • Demonstrable experience of the finance and compliance issues associated with the management of residential block management
  • Technically competence in all aspects of block management such as leases, services charges, Landlord & Tenant legislation, ARMA, IRPM
