Job Description

You will be operating and improving the tools while working closely together with our global users and guiding them to make best use of the tool’s functionality. You will be ensuring that the Planning tool is fitting well within the wider systems landscape and the Finance Systems Strategy.

You will be utilizing your finance and application knowledge working closely with finance users to improve reporting practices. Your role will involve Run and Change activities for our Global Planning tool and process. Your main tasks will include:

  • Lead our Global Support team (consisted of 8 resources) to collect, assess and implement monthly functionality improvements and configuration changes to our systems
  • Collaborate with the Finance leads in the Group and Market Units to ensure that the system supports the planning and forecasting processes
  • Coordinate with our Technology teams to ensure that the end-to-end service is at the level required
  • Be responsible for the smooth operation of our planning and forecasting cycles, driving the support and issue resolution for our 400 global users
  • Ensure we operate within the agreed Governance and Control framework
  • Lead the translation of functional requirements to application design and configuration
  • Drive the delivery of new planning functionality and continuous enhancements for the existing one
  • Work as part of the wider team including internal and external resources. Your role will include oversight of requirement gathering, solution design and build, oversight of testing
  • Partner with key roles to create well-defined solutions that are aligned to Bupa’s Business and Finance Systems Strategy and leverage common solutions and services to meet key project goals
  • Be a leader in this area by implementing new and improved ways of working, delivery models and / or technological advancements
  • Contribute to the development of your own and the team's technical skills by establishing a culture of highest performing teams, inclusive behaviors, and emotional intelligence
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day collaboration with the Group Technology and Software Vendor to ensure appropriate support for the Group Finance

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Solid technical and analytical skills, with good experience of finance processes. You need to be able to speak with finance teams and translate their requirements into system functionality
  • Expert in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions (e.g. Oracle/ Hyperion/ SAP/ Anaplan/ Cognos) with proven experience of delivering and or operating large scale global solutions
  • Ability to lead a team delivering tangible outcomes and assisting in the teams continues development
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across Group and Market Finance teams
  • Organized and methodical, with ability to manage workload and small projects
  • Good understanding of data processing including SQL, data uploads, interfaces with other systems, data extraction and manipulation
  • Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) will be considered as a plus
