Job Description

This role will be hybrid with around 2 days in the office per week. Managing a small team you will drive the Finance Operations, lead your team, communicate with stakeholders across the business, manage finance projects, bring ideas & drive positive change. 
Duties may include ( but not limited to ) :

  • Responsible for HMRC and other tax filings, VAT (MTD), Payroll
    • Liaising with internal HR and Payroll & external payroll provider, posting of monthly payroll accounting journals, payroll, and pensions payments
  • First point of contact for the auditors, managing annual audit process and statutory accounts including booking audit adjustments to match stat reports
  • Develop appropriate financial controls & analysis,
  • Improve processes in finance, implementing, testing, and upgrading systems and policies as the company grows, including deploying information technology to ensure effective and efficient financial management
  • Management of ERP system alongside Business Systems, Client Services, Sales, and Operations
  • Responsible for UK finance operation including managing and coaching team
  • Preparing management accounts, consolidating, variance analysis, leading the analysis, and presenting findings
  • Monthly revenue recognition and adjustment to accrued revenue and costs
  • Review monthly accruals, prepayments, rebates and similar entries
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and staff as required, providing high level of service including responding to budget holders’ queries

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Fully or Part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Advanced level Excel skills
  • Experience of running audits
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Project & Improvement driven
