Purchase Ledger Assistant
Full-time, Contract
Job Description

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Completion of all purchase ledger processes to meet the needs of the business such as maintaining and updating the Purchase Order Summary and creating the end of month purchase ledger Journals
  • Import/Export process compliance: Weekly reconciliation of supplier invoices, monthly reconciliation of PVA statement to Sage
  • Supporting with preparation of Management Accounts - prepayments, flagging up any notable factors
  • Ensure all bank reconciliations for GBP & Euro bank accounts, Western Union and Petty Cash are completed by the required deadline
  • Process all UK and Euro Payments on Sage 200 and setting up bank payments as needed
  • Manage the Expenses processes and credit card reconciliations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be successful in this role you will have experience in a finance/accountancy role, ideally working with accounting and ERP systems, along with a good working knowledge of VAT, PAYE, Intrastat. This company are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with knowledge of purchase ledger and its processes.
