Job Description
  • Filing accurately
  • Keying in Local Searches on client ledgers
  • Confirming receipt of funds to clients and fee earners
  • Writing out cheques for deposits and returning of client funds
  • Banking cheques and allocating to client ledgers
  • Allocating Client Account banking from bank statements (check Debits and Credits)
  • Taking card payments over the telephone from clients
  • Allocating Land Registry and transferring fees from client to office
  • Checking completion statements
  • Preparing final bills after completion

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A familiarity with the banking system and a working knowledge of an on-line banking system ideal.
  • A high level of numeracy and ability to spot reconciliation differences with relative ease.
  • Good communication skills by email, letter, telephone or face to face.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, especially at month-ends.
  • Accurate and reasonably speedy data entry skills.
  • Computer literate with competency on MS Office products, namely: Outlook, Excel and Word.
