Leading and managing our loans team to deliver a high quality and efficient loans service to our membership
Development of functional objectives that support the overall achievement of the business objectives
Implementing and delivering against the lending policy whilst taking steps to manage the potential for delinquent debt
Working with the Head of Operations and CEO to review the lending policy and make changes to help drive better outcomes for our members and business whilst effectively managing our risks
Underwrite high-risk or high value loans as per the lending policy and relevant levels of authority
Proactively communicate the performance of loans products and promotions to the wider business and attend weekly management meetings
Manage relationships with our strategic partners to understand their needs and suggest new potential opportunities
Counter sign loans where required as per the lending policy
Creating and delivering effective reporting on loans that helps the business monitor and respond to the needs of our membership
Identifying ways to improve our internal processes to drive efficiencies for both our members and the loans team
Working with the wider business on system changes or implementation to ensure any changes brought about support the loans process and our members
Creation and maintenance of our internal lending policies, processes and procedures
Managing the performance of the individuals within the loans team, driving positive performance, delivering effective personal development plans and coaching the team
Assessing the quality of loan decisions within the team and working with the team to drive a consistent approach
Proactive support the wider business with their understanding of our loans process and products to help increase awareness and service to our membership
Develop and maintain awareness of PSCU risks and risk frameworks in line with regulatory expectations
Liaising appropriately with the finance team to ensure loan repayments are set up effectively
Maintain and develop own skills, knowledge and behaviours as well as keep up to date with regulatory standards and changes
To demonstrate the PSCU values and competencies at all times
To assist with and provide support to other projects and activities as and when required.
