Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the works package on-site, liaising with the Client, Contracts Manager,
Sub-contractors, and other trades, co-ordinating all aspects of the works so that the building project is
completed in line with the requirements.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
* Managing Health & Safety onsite observing safe working practices & enforcing health & safety on site
* Maintain a site diary and crane log at all times. Crane logs to be issued to the Contracts Manager
weekly.
* Ensure you have a clear understanding of the scope of works ensuring all site variations are only
undertaken through site instructions.
* Programme works accordingly to manage the smooth running of the contract, ensuring the workface
is ready in advance and the client has all necessary datums, gridlines down prior to labour starting on
site.
* Manage and deliver Project Program and liaising with third parties.
* Maintain quality control procedures and provide evidence to support the quality standard.
* Responsible for ensuring finished works are protected accordingly.
* Report any errors, whether, site related, fabrication, transport or design using our NCR procedure.
* Report any Non AFW related delays to the Contacts Manager straight away.
* Liaise with the main contractor's representatives ensuring clear communication lines are kept with
weekly progress reports.
* Liaise with professional staff (such as Architects, Engineers, and Surveyors)
* Attend site managerial meetings to discuss program, installation, and interfaces with other trades.
* Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings.
* Produce method statements and risk assessments as required.
* Ensure day work sheets are requested prior to any additional work on site.
* Provide daily briefing updates to the Contracts Manager.
* Maintain accurate records of site personnel including HR and payroll documentation within expected
agreed timeframe.
* To be responsible for all site issued equipment and maintain proper records of equipment.
* Maintain regular communication with subcontractors.
* Plan resource requirements and liaise with Contract/Project Manager.
* Provide efficient and effective management and supervision of site teams.
* To motivate and develop teams providing clear instruction.
* To identify training and development needs to improve/maintain the team knowledge and experience
* Responsible for own CPD and mandatory training.
