Job Description
  • Lead and manage Customer Operations team to deliver services safely and efficiently in line with company policies and best industry practice
  • Responsible for security of Customer Operations facilities & systems
  • Implement, manage, and develop efficient cost-effective customer operations & systems which deliver agreed KPIs & customer service standards
  • Manage customer relations to grow to the benefit of both parties
  • Manage welfare of and relations with Customer Operations staff
  • Prepare & manage annual cost & revenue budgets produce monthly reports
  • Utilise systems agreed with various back-office functions such as HR, Finance & IT.
  • Support General Manager, provide absence cover & perform any other reasonable duties as requested
  • Deliver compliance with appropriate legislation in terms of health, safety and the environment
  • Customer operations are carried out in a safe, secure, and cost-efficient manner, keeping costs within predetermined budgets
  • Manage customer operations resources & systems to efficiently deliver optimal, accurate and recorded cargo dispatch from vessel via terminal to on-board truck and release from terminal
  • Customer operations meet, and preferably exceed, agreed service standards such as cargo status reporting and accurate release to the receiver
  • Responsible for the management and development of customer operations staff, and the effective utilization of systems, subcontractors, suppliers and service providers
  • Manage schedule of pricing for services provided such as storage, terminal handling and repacking of goods landed in a damaged condition

  • Demonstrable focus on delivery of agreed standards of customer service.
  • Ability to prepare & manage cost budgets
