Job Description

Accounts

  • To "co-ordinate" all clients work within the practice and to ensure it is in good order and correct.
  • To process management accounts and to ensure that the output is correct.
  • To ensure that the client’s output is to a high standard and liaising with the clients including resolving queries in a timely and professional manner
  • To prepare and submit client’s statutory accounts (company, sole trader and LLP) and tax computations including detailed capital allowance computations.
  • To prepare and submit client’s self-assessment tax returns on company software.
  • To be able to attend at client’s offices for sales and for training clients and/or their staff on bookkeeping assignments and on the software

Staff

To provide supervision, training, and assistance to all KT staff (with the Practice Manager) whose duties include:

  • Bookkeeping and preparing bank reconciliations
  • Reconciling management accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Preparing/assisting in preparing fixed asset schedules and notes to the accounts
  • Statutory accounts (company, sole trader and LLP) and tax computations
  • Self-assessment tax returns
  • Client quotes
  • Company Secretarial duties, Anti Money Laundering & GDPR
  • To deal with any people issues and report to the Practice Manager
  • To sign off timesheets (where applicable) and agree in advance holiday requests and ensure that all absence is recorded in the absence of the Practice Manager

Payroll (for clients)

  • To liaise with the Payroll Department to ensure that timely and professional services are delivered to all payroll clients.
  • To ensure that the payroll team is adhering to the payroll procedures and weekly/monthly timetable.
  • To undertake any other duties consistent with the basic objectives of overseeing the smooth running of the KT Clients’ payrolls.

General

  • To run the practice/department in the absence of the Practice Manager.
  • To maintain their professional qualification (ACCA) and ensure the CPD training is performed each year to maintain the membership.
  • To sign off on client documents, as a Qualified Accountant, for certifying documents, Accounts, Client bank and mortgage requests.
  • To be able to develop and drive KT sales strategy with existing and new clients to increase sales.
  • To manage client expectations and to provide an efficient service at all times.To manage the development and performance of the staff members in the team.
  • To perform regular one-to-ones and annual appraisals of the staff members in the team if instructed by the Practice Manager / Director.
  • To oversee development and management of the staff members in the team.
  • To perform such functions and duties as the company may from time-to-time delegate.
