Job Description

Responsibility for completion and submission of divisional and group monthly management accounts

Responsibility for completion and submission of annual statutory accounts for each division

Responsibility of ensuring applicable accounting standards are implemented and in place across each division

Ownership of relationship, in conjunction with Finance Director, with external auditors

Management of half year and year end external audit

Management of internal audit reviews and subsequent ownership of action point delivery

Management of all treasury across divisions

Participation in budgeting and forecast process in conjunction with Commercial Finance Manager

Preparation and monitoring of weekly cash flow forecasts

Preparation and reconciliation of divisional VAT returns

Responsibility for maintaining the fixed asset register

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years PQE

The ability to provide the financial insight and analysis which enhances decision making and influences strategic direction.

Strong technical skills, particularly financial controls and accounting standards, combining commercial and strategic acumen with an 'into the detail, hands-on' approach.

Experience of working closely with other departments outside of finance, and optimising business performance through the provision of timely, accurate and relevant MI.

Demonstrable ability to provide high levels of challenge both commercially and operationally

An ability to build relationships at multiple levels, both internally and externally.

An affinity with change management and the ability to 'win hearts and minds' at all levels of the organisation.
