Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, team oriented and ambitious individual to join a dynamic and highly talented, global debt investment team. This team combines the best of Macquarie’s deep infrastructure debt experience with a flexible and highly dynamic approach to investing for our clients and growing opportunities for the business.

You will get to work within the London team as a senior Associate and assist with the assessment and execution of new investment opportunities and the management of existing portfolio assets.

Your responsibilities will require you to:

  • Undertake and review due diligence on potential investments
  • Build, review and run sensitivities on financial models
  • Assess and comment on commercial contracts
  • Assist with all aspects of investment analysis
  • Deal with internal and external queries on a day-to-day basis
  • Assess the appropriate debt level and debt structure for a potential acquisition
  • Support with the negotiation of terms sheets and documentation of investment agreements
  • Have responsibility for contributing to investment papers and to responses in regards to client and investment committee requests
  • Being a central deal-team members working with an analyst, vice president and/or director on the investment transactions

You will be instrumental in the execution of investment opportunities and materially contribute to the growth and success of the platform. Experience in project finance, infrastructure, structured lending or similar as well as financial modelling skills are ideal for this role.

Your credit research and analysis experience will be used when writing investment reports and making presentations for senior management and investment committees. Preferably you have some experience with financial statements, corporate finance, or loan documentation.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will be highly numerate and possess skills in all aspects of credit and financial analysis. You will have the ability to demonstrate sound business judgment. You possess strong interpersonal skills which will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and be an effective team player.
