Provide financial support in the strategic planning process including financial scenario reporting, dynamic planning models that allow Business Partners and Managing Directors the ability to change variables and assumptions that will impact the overall output;
Develop dashboard/scorecard reporting of key performance indicators to evaluate efficiencies, improve operations, and enhance performance more effectively;
Develop and maintain monthly reporting packages for department managers; produce ad hoc reports as requested;
Provide in depth statistical analysis, trends and insights on the business performance;
Seek opportunities for continuous improvement, streamlined reporting and business process efficiency to enable business management to lead their teams and drive strategy more effectively.
Cash modelling / Forecasting
Maintain and oversee the Group cash forecasting model;
Maintain and ensure the forecasts are live and reflective of up to date trading positions;
Support the budgeting and rolling forecast processes;
Liaise with all sectors of Finance / Business to ensure assumptions and projections are realistic;
Model and understand the outputs and implications of the annual business planning and quarterly reforecasting processes.
Cash monitoring
Monitor, understand and report weekly on movements in cashflow across all Group entities;
Analyse and investigate movements versus expectations across the business;
Understand the short and medium term swings in cash and ensure appropriate awareness;
Optimise liquidity across the various international trading units and highlight areas for enhancement.
Operations
Work closely with the Credit Control function to highlight opportunities for cash generation, improve analytics and reporting;
Review the operations and working practices of the Group to identify areas for accelerated cash creation;
Assist on strategic projects and decision support, including the development of financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives;
Analyse, model and project the FX exposures and hedging proposals for the Group;
Assist the management accounting function in the production of financial accounts;
Successfully on-board newly acquired businesses on to FP&A reporting platform;
Ensure that Nexus Brand and code of conduct is adhered to at all times both within the workplace or at other external events;
Adhere to Nexus policies;
Refer any matter beyond the level of an individual’s experience or authority to their line manager;
Complete a minimum of 15 hours of continuous professional development annually.
To be considered for the Financial Planning Analyst vacancy you are/have:
MBA graduate and/or Qualified Accountant with 3+ PQE
Excellent IT and modelling capabilities, proficient MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
