Job Description

This position will play a key role within the team and will see you lead on complex procurement projects. You will be responsible for developing procurement strategies and delivering a wide range of procurement projects, through a variety of procurement procedures. The wide scope will ensure that your work is varied and challenging and will suit someone who is comfortable taking responsibility and enjoys building strong relationships.

This role will see you deliver a responsive, high quality, commercial and customer focused procurement service. You will support the development of NHG’s culture through robust and effective personal and team performance management arrangements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are looking for someone who has experience within procurement, preferably within the Housing sector. We are seeking someone who has delivered on complex above threshold tenders and has previous exposure to the OJEU/above threshold framework. You will be familiar with new procurement regulations and have up to date knowledge of any new changes to help drive our procurement function.

You should have excellent knowledge of Public Contract Regulations (PCR's 2015) and available procurement procedures and their application in Charity / Social Housing context.

Confidence and good communication skills is key as you will be expected to build and manage effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Most of all we need you to be a strong team player, capable of adapting to fluctuating workloads and being keen to assist colleagues when required.
