Job Description

You will step in for the Finance Operations Manager as required and they must maintain a strong financial control environment and deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the critical and complex Finance Operations processes of generates, BACS, and high-volume bank reconciliation
  • Manage the Finance Operations Inbox with the Finance Operations Manager, ensuring all queries are handled effectively, providing excellent customer service
  • Provide cover for the Finance Operations Manager as required
  • Support the Finance Operations Manager to develop and implement new processes that optimize efficiency and quality
  • Review Finance Operations procedures regularly and update as appropriate, adding new procedures where necessary
  • Collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ensure that daily trial balances are produced accurately and that all differences are identified and corrected

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Very well organized – able to plan and track completion of multiple workloads
  • Able to proactively identify risks and issues and able to drive resolution forward
  • Takes ownership for resolution of incidents, and demonstrates resilience
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and optimize performance
  • Proven excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Very strong stakeholder management
  • Intermediate MS Excel
  • Customer focused
  • Understanding of finance double entry
  • A Levels or equivalent qualifications
  • Finance or business-related degree (or equivalent)
