Job Description

You will provide day to day support and challenge to the Investors Finance Leadership Team, leveraging expertise across areas of responsibility. In this role you will, lead the Finance Business Improvement team to achieve individual and collective goals and promote career development. You will also ensure, the finance systems are fit for purpose and provide maximum benefit to the finance team and wider business, by supporting the production of quality MI.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the Finance Business Improvement team, to support the day to day running of the finance systems and ensure business changes impacting finance systems are implemented in a timely manner
  • Responsible for defining the scope of large change projects, including making business cases, monitoring budget and managing the need for increased short-term resource
  • Representing Finance for understanding the operational impacts of any Investors Strategy, IT change or M&A activity
  • Work with the Investors Finance leadership team to ensure that the Investors control environment is both effective and streamlined with automated process in place wherever possible
  • Reviewing the technology interfaces and outputs of the organization’s financial and operational processes to ensure compliance and best practice, making appropriate recommendations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree educated or relevant experience
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Good understanding of all financial disciplines, and up to date knowledge of financial reporting and regulatory reporting developments
  • Understanding of investment management sector, with up-to-date knowledge of the operational and regulatory framework for the retail and institutional marketplace
  • Technical expertise in process re-engineering, data, and systems as well as strong stakeholder management skills, and ability to convert strategy into quality execution rapidly
  • Good relationship management and influencing skills with people at all levels with the ability to build credible working relationships
  • Experience in a senior finance role, in a blue-chip organization and/or a fund/investment or other highly regulated environment
  • Wide experience of working with overseas operations and effectively managing cross border information flows
