Job Description

An opportunity to join a team of hardworking fun-loving people and work for a small business and manage the day to day running of the accounts payable side of the business. Working with the company bookkeeper 3 days per week (within school hours)

The prime function of this role is to take ownership and manage the entire accounts payable function. Excellent Numeracy skills and attention to detail are essential as are organization and communication skills as you will inputting and managing essential accounts data. Also, assisting the directors with any adhoc duties.

This role requires a self-motivated and helpful approach with excellent organizational skills. Dealing with suppliers and colleagues at all levels in a confident manner and having the ability to understand new tasks as they are presented. The successful candidate will be a dependable member of a team and should have a “can do” attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Printing off all invoices/credit notes
  • Inputting invoices and credit notes into NETSUITE finance package
  • Obtaining authorization to release payments
  • Allocating invoices to PO’s and investigating queries with both suppliers and sales team
  • Checking Supplier statements
  • Processing card/staff expenses
  • Create and manage supplier payment runs
  • Petty cash reconciliation
  • Managing returns and credit notes
  • Filing and archiving or PL files
  • Assisting Directors as and when needed with varied tasks
  • Ad hoc tasks and additional duties as required by the business

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Minimum Education 5 GCSE’s (Math and English essential)
  • Role relevant QBE history preferable
  • Basic knowledge of accounts
  • Strong MS Office skills with extensive experience of Outlook and Excel
  • Netsuite Accounts or ERP experience a bonus
  • Excellent Numeracy Skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent Planning & Organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and process large amounts of information and simultaneous tasks.
  • Readily takes initiative
  • Demonstrates positive approach to work and determination
  • Polite and courteous manner both on and off the phone
  • Ability to understand and speak clear English
  • Excellent Communication & Listening Skills
  • Problem solving capabilities.
