Job Description
They will be responsible for effectively and pro-actively managing the portfolio for academic departments throughout a project’s lifecycle. Working collaboratively with colleagues, they will provide day-to-day support, acting as the point of contact for staff within academic departments, funder organizations and the University’s Professional Services teams to provide an efficient and holistic post award support service.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will have significant experience of post award financial administration, with expertise in EC funding, as well as managerial experience in a large and complex institution. They will have a knowledge of assurance and compliance obligations, excellent data analysis, reconciliation and IT skills. They will be highly organized with the ability to handle a diverse and busy workload and to priorities effectively to meet demanding and often conflicting deadlines. Strong leadership skills and the ability to effect and manage change will be essential. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build and sustain effective working relationships both internally and externally. Be customer focused and have a commitment to provide an efficient, professional and effective support service.
