Job Description

Working in a small team, duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Contribute to investment strategy making use of your interest in, and understanding of, investment markets and global economic trends
• Undertake extensive research on investment funds (index trackers, ETFs and mutual funds) with a primary focus on fixed income
• Recommend trade ideas, monitor existing positions and key risk metrics across the funds and models portfolio solutions
• Assist with platform management across all model portfolios
• Participate in investment committee meetings and adviser calls
• Assist the other portfolio managers and broader investment team where required
• Query resolution and data provision to other parts of the business/clients

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• You must be educated to degree level with a relevant subject (2.1 or 1st class)
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle large data sets in excel
• Confident and proactive communicator
• Interest and understanding of financial markets
• Ideally FCA approved, or making progress towards relevant qualification
• Prior experience using financial services software e.g. Bloomberg, Lipper for Investment Management and investment platform services.
• Willingness to take the CFA exams
