In this post you will lead a team providing all key financial transactional services (accounts payable and receivable, income, etc.) and be responsible for the management, maintenance, development and improvement of the Council’s Financial System. You will be responsible for a significant range of key finance related services including treasury management, insurance functions, fixed assets and capital accounting, VAT advice and the payroll contract. You will also lead the annual project to effectively manage the closedown and production of the Statement and be responsible for all aspects of the Treasury Management function.

You must be educated to degree or equivalent level with a relevant professional qualification e.g. CCAB CIPFA, ACA etc. or with equivalent experience in this field. Previous experience of working in a senior role and also dealing effectively with change and commitment to continuous improvement are essential for this post.
