Job Description

You will also be responsible for implementing plans to promote diversity, equity and inclusion within the offices.
Hours: Part time role, 3 days per week will be considered with hybrid working options available.

Working hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexibility in accordance with the needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion runs through all CSR activities as a key touchstone of the office's efforts, in close liaison with HR colleagues.
  • Regular liaison with the networks.
  • Enable (Disability) and Work and Me (Family) is required to ensure our activities take account of the views of the networks and share resourcing responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Head of company to improve our brand appeal to diverse applicants, eliminate bias and enhance our diverse and inclusive culture
  • As required, represent the Firm at internal and external events
  • Regularly review and update the pages of the our website and social media pages
  • Regularly update the intranet and SharePoint pages, working with the Business Development,
  • Marketing and Communications team and the Information Centre
  • Identify Firm projects which might be eligible for market awards and draft submissions as appropriate
  • Respond to requests for information on our company policy for pitch requests
  • Work alongside the BD and PR teams to put together brochures as they arise from time to time
  • Write submissions for internal communications publications such as The Friday Round Up and 'The Business'
  • Act as one of the key contacts internally and externally for CSR activity
  • As required, represent the Firm at internal and external CSR events
  • Identify Firm CSR projects which might be eligible for market awards and draft submissions as appropriate
  • Carry out ad-hoc projects and reporting as requested by London or Global management (subject to approval by the Head of company.
  • Working with the Head of company to support the partner sponsor of the Charity of the Year in developing and delivering on the charity agenda.
  • Manage the relationships with the charities the Firm decides to support and deal with queries from other charities that contact the Firm with requests for funding support.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and confidence to communicate at all levels
  • A background in law would be advantageous
  • At least 3 years previous experience in a CSR role would be desirable. Exceptional candidates who can demonstrate commitment to the field in other ways will also be considered.
  • Passionate about CSR and DE&I and dedicated to the continual progression of the CSR and DE&I agenda
  • Committed to the agenda of the DEICC Advisory Board
  • Excellent relationship-builder, able to develop a broad network of relationships internally and externally.
  • Able to drive projects forward and willing to get involved at every level
  • Able to influence staff at all levels
  • Precision and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use initiative and provide pro-active support to the committee
  • Reliable and well organized

  • Energetic, flexible and adaptable approach to work – including willingness to attend where appropriate events which may be at lunchtime or in the evening
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
