Works closely with the PMO, Local change management and FDs team to carry out the Portfolio Monitoring of a range of Project Finance transactions
Investment Committee finance ownership
Validating financials in pipeline ideas
Provide benefits realization tracking once projects have closed
Reviewing and challenging financials, business cases and closure reports as they are submitted to PMO (and work directly with the geo FD on queries)
Work with projects on actuals and reporting (streamlined, consistent and embed standard process to review)
Support in the forward looking spend demands from the functions/geos as part of the change roadmap process that PMO uphold
Partnering with Project Owners to develop accurate forecasts of Project costs
Validate portfolio reporting numbers for board with Finance
Ensures focus on change project spend is clear and accurate for exec
Defines and ensures adherence to standards for accounting in project management
Accountable for financial baselines post IC and pre project tracking
Develop sound professional working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and business partners, building confidence and developing a deep understanding of the business
Works closely with finance teams, Financial Operations and Group, in the provision of information to business colleagues
Able to build relationship and interact with senior executives and management level stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous project management experience or able to demonstrate proven experience in a similar role within a Finance department or environment
Ability to assimilate impact of issues and act on own initiative but with guidance where necessary to provide business solutions to achieve strategic objectives of the Business
Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
Ability to work unsupervised and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
Commercial acumen / ability to understand multiple functions/ the business end to end
