Job Description

To provide full administrative support to the Turnover rents team. To understand the varied roles and responsibilities within the team and to assist colleagues where required. To be proactive and responsive in chasing for missing information and keeping the team informed.

Principle accountabilities

  • Partnering with the turnover team to assist with the monthly on account billing for turnover rents.
  • Responsible for rent review process.
  • Assisting the team with chasing for missing monthly and annual turnover figures. This will include reading through leases to determine tenant’s obligations and then requesting information from tenants in accordance with their lease.
  • Ensuring Retail Advantage sales data is accurate and up to date.
  • Responsible for clearing historical backlog of missing annual certificates for turnover rent reconciliations.
  • Uploading annual certificates to Corporate Library.
  • Help maintain and clear the Turnover Rents inbox on a regular basis and filing emails.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of existing processes and systems used within the team and wider business
  • Support transformation activities as we establish new ways of working, improving both reporting processes and outputs
  • Ensure systems are being used to their full potential and consider the potential for future enhancements
  • Support all members of the Turnover rents team in various aspects of their roles.
  • Support the Financial Reporting Manager with tasks on various projects.
  • Provide support to the wider Group Finance team on an ad hoc basis.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Part Qualified/ Opportunity to study towards Accountancy qualification (AAT, ACA, CIMA, ACCA, etc.)
  • Highly numerate with basic accounting and reporting skills
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of accuracy
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Team player
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of leases and the property sector
  • Management accounting experience
  • An understanding of accounting for rent and the concept of turnover rent
  • Knowledge of Turnover or sales
