Job Description

You'll contribute to the team’s overall business plan and strategy – completing structured debt transactions for private equity-owned and sub-investment grade corporate clients across all market segments. You'll play an integral leadership role as part of the deal team in carrying out transactions, both guiding Analysts and Associates and supporting senior leaders and partners. The role includes supporting across all stages of a transaction from originating, preparing and communicating pitching materials, undertaking financial and credit analysis (including formulation of financial models), preparing and presenting materials for internal approvals and supporting the negotiation of legal documentation and deal execution. You'll support clients via utilization of company balance sheet, as well as leading and supporting on the provision of syndicated loan and high yield bond products.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Origination of leveraged debt transactions for private equity owned and sub-investment grade corporate clients
  • Execution of transactions, ensuring that products are appropriately structured and priced and that activity is aligned to the goals and values of the Group
  • Preparation and presentation of marketing materials for clients
  • Preparation and presentation of internal deal committee applications and reports
  • Handling the documentation and due diligence process for transactions
  • Research future opportunities, analyzing sophisticated data to support client interaction and product offering
  • Establishing and supporting senior colleagues with building and maintaining a growing network of internal team members and external market relationships to originate transactions

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong credit and financial analysis skills, including the ability to build and utilize complex financial models (strong MS Office skills are required)
  • Knowledge of the leverage finance sector, ideally minimum of 4 year’s experience
  • Evidence of relevant execution experience with a proven track record of consistent performance
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and advisors in order to originate new business, ideally with an existing network
  • Strong writing and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across different audiences
  • Demonstrable high levels of attention to detail, numeracy and accuracy
  • Knowledge of the regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Self-directed, highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Leverage Finance experience
