General responsibilities of the role
· Assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks
· Credit Control experience
· Assist with preparation of VAT Returns
· Understanding of CIS for Contractors & Sub-Contractors
· Bank reconciliation
· Prepare and Post Monthly Journals
· Assisting with Companies House administration and filing requirements
· Helping to produce monthly cash flow forecasts
· Reconciling Customer and Supplier accounts
· Assisting with Month End and Year End Duties
Key requirements:
· AAT Level 2 or above
· Must be proficient Sage Line 50 and Excel
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Confident with telephone communication
· Excellent computer literacy skills
· Understanding of Double Entry Bookkeeping
· Organised, with attention to detail and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
· Able to use own initiative to resolve day to day issues
· Experience of Group Accounting Procedures would be favourable but essential
· Due to the location of the business access to own transport is essential
