Job Description
  • Working with colleagues to identify, originate and execute assignments across the breadth of company’s strategy and transactions services (strategy, valuation, restructuring, diligence, operations).
  • This will include identifying corporate finance opportunities across the region; drafting and presenting opportunities to clients; executing transactions with other professionals to a successful completion
  • Supporting senior colleagues on company’s largest accounts in the oil & gas sector, including developing an understanding of the strategic agendas of large priority clients and supporting origination and execution of transactions for these clients
  • Originating and executing transactions with clients incl. public and private corporates, private equity, banks, governments and national energy companies
  • Showing initiative and insight in the sourcing and use of information
  • Absorbing new technical information quickly, and developing a deep understanding of the strategic rationale for transactions and business decisions.
  • Managing other colleagues.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ideally some prior experience and good knowledge of the energy sector, themes and major players
  • Financial background, ideally gained over a minimum of 3 years’ experience at another Big 4 or at an investment bank or commercial bank, enabling you to bring strong numerical and financial skills to the team
  • Corporate finance experience covering some or all of:
    • Buy side and sell side experience, from deal origination, through valuation, deal execution and assistance in negotiating commercial terms
    • Valuation methodologies, such as Discounted Cash Flows, Comparable Companies, Comparable Transactions, Sum of the Parts
    • Financial products, such as bank debt, leverage finance, debt capital markets.
    • Corporate strategy
  • Proven presentation skills and an ability to work well with colleagues across a diverse range of geographies and seniority
  • Drive, initiative, energy and enthusiasm
