Job Description
- Developing and presenting financial findings and analysis at DfT board level meetings and approval committees
- Supporting the development of the financial elements of the Request for Proposal/Invitation to Tender for new contracts, ensuring the commercial proposition is accurately reflected at the various stages of the Transport Business Case
- Leading on developing an effective dialogue with counterparts at Rail Operators to ensure that affordability issues are identified and addressed at an early stage.
- Also, communicated with internal stakeholders to ensure that any Treasury concerns are handled effectively
- Leading on financial aspects in the commercial management of current rail contracts and projects including analysis, assessment and forecasting
- Developing, modelling, supporting, and contributing to the long-term forecasting of rail contracts and related projects across the Rail portfolio
- Line management responsibility for one Assistant Finance Manager
