Job Description

Duties will include: maintenance of nominal ledgers, production of monthly management accounts, vat returns, purchase ledger, reviewing payroll (which is carried out by an external payroll bureau), cash flow management, supplier payments, general financial reporting and other ad hoc duties as required. The role is hands on and currently doesn’t require any staff management / supervision. This is an office based role. There is easy access car parking on site. The firm uses Sage 50 accountancy software so experience of Sage would be an advantage but not essential.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be considered for this new role (September 2022) you must currently be acting as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Management Accountant or Senior Accountant in a good quality, SME / OMB and have experience of the above duties. You will be looking to work part time (4 days a week either working 4 full days or 5 days reduced hours) although the firm will still consider applicants looking to work full time, or full time in the future. A professional accountancy qualification is not essential and the firm welcomes applicants who are QBE. You must be used to working in a small, busy and hands on role and be pro-active, energetic and be able to work on own initiative. Good financial reporting and communication skills are essential. You must be a car driver and be able to easily commute.
