Job Description

You will Support the Financial Controller and the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to lead and develop the finance department efficiently and effectively to provide high quality financial and commercial services, advice, monitoring and control, which enable robust and effective decision-making, business reporting, planning, stewardship of assets and the maximization of commercial focus and efficiency gains across the NMC.

Support the work and development of the payroll team and its systems to ensure the monthly payroll and all statutory returns are completed efficiently, accurately and on time.

The post holder will also be expected to deputies for the financial Controller as and when required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent
• Running and delivering at least key elements of the full suite of financial services to a medium-sized entity
• Statutory accounts preparation for a medium sized entity, ideally in the charity or public sector, to tight timescales
• using and managing complex Finance/IT systems
• Design, oversight and promotion of strong financial controls across a medium-sized entity to ensure proper and effective use of funds.
• Managing and leading colleagues both at clerical and qualified level
