Job Description

We are looking for two credit controllers to join us for 12 month fixed term contracts to support the team due to maternity cover and internal secondment changes. To assist the Collections Manager in debt monitoring and reporting and provide the business with information on and recommendations for improving the debt collection rates in order to maximize profits.

  • To Understand financial reporting and to be able to clearly identify any impact on Collections across the finance division. 
  • To keep aligned with regulatory changes and recommend best practice for reporting formats to ensure the business has insight into areas that require monitoring
  • To provide regular updates reporting, analysis and commentary daily weekly and monthly as required, to the Collections department on debt activity.
  • To continuously improve reports and provide analysis to the various credit committees and as required by the Head of Collections
  • To monitor all customers payment performance and highlight all relevant trends 
  • To assist in preparation of collection reporting documentation
  • To get involved in any other ad hoc activities or projects within the Collections department as requested from the Collections Manager insuring accuracy and fast pace of turnaround

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of basic SQL would be beneficial 
  • Knowledge of SAS
  • Strong use of excel - develop Dashboards & complex reports, with supporting relative Graphs 
  • Ability to think and take initiative with the confidence and initiative to challenge processes as required within remit.
  • Customer Driven with the ability to deal with individuals at all levels of the business. 
  • Ability to interpret concepts and deliver practical solutions
  • Calm and assured approach under pressure and have the ability to work to tight deadlines.
